Things that have been going on/happened recently:
-My technical theatre director is a Time Lord (his office is his TARDIS).
-I have my own personal Jerri Blank in my JCI class.
-I made 40 icons of Metric's "Sick Muse" music video the other night.
-I made the newly forming college improv team.
-This semester is going to EAT MY FACEEEE.
-It's My Future Husband Skandar Keynes' 18th birthday today! We're birthday buddies!
-I plan on watching The Rocky Horror Picture Show for my birthday next week.
-Our new sorority complex that I live in is SERIOUSLY BEAUTIFUL. I may take you on a photo tour some time.
-I plan on attending the KA's "Foam Party" tonight. I'm not really sure what a Foam Party is, but I plan on having some fun with my sisters after spending ALL OF TODAY READING, OMG.
Something else: I've had an idea about a way for me to use this journal. I've noticed that a lot of people outside the college system, or in high school about to enter it, have a lot of misconceptions about Greek life. I can't speak for the fraternity system, but I know that being in a sorority has done a lot for me, including giving me leadership opportunities, networking skills, a fallback system of great friends, stress outlets, and the opportunity to live in amazing housing.
What I'm thinking about doing is, every so often (anywhere between once a month or once a semester, not really sure how frequently yet) have "A Week of Greek", where I blog every day for a week about how being in a sorority has affected my life that day. This might range from sisterhood or campus-wide events I have going on that week, to meeting alums or other people, or just casual every-day silly fun with my sisters. I still haven't decided whether it would be better to do this during a Greek-activities-heavy week like Homecoming, or Greek Week in the spring, or just a normal week.
